As someone who works in the hotel business, I have terrible news for y'all; rooms with one beds are never the ones left to be rented last. HOWEVER this follows GREAT news - its always king suites or queen suites that are left last (mostly because they cost more), so a more accurate fanfiction trope would be "there was only one bed because they didn't know the couch was actually a pull out" so you're welcome and thank you for coming to my Ted talk
