I got to spend 5 days here in the nearby community of Jawbone Flats - a forestry education center. I took a wilderness first responder course. Completely off the grid, staying in a rustic cabin, and (the best part) having wholesome and tasty meals prepared for me! I took this class for Corvallis Mountain Rescue, with whom I volunteer. Even though I am an RN, I found the skills I learned in this class to be invaluable.
