I think faux should've actually used her horns.
Faux is one of my oldest OCs and I think I was writing a story about her at some point. Unfortunately, I was too young to know wtf I was doing. I think I drew this particular picture for something called "sketch of the week", the theme being forest. Faux is shown hiding in a bush between her parents, the bat winged guy is Knight Wish (unrelated to the band) and I forgot the mom's name. And yup, she looks nothing like her parents! I think I had some really complicated worldbuildy explanation but I don't remember it very well now.
As for the reason for my use of that symbol, I couldn't tell you. I think I saw it in a textbook once and got fixated for a while.
