Sometimes I wonder how Splinter would react to grandchildren if he were still alive
It's burning, should I help? (Entry #1)
It's been a while since I felt the way I am. The urge to spring out of bed and run to my parents, all the while too paralyzed to do anything about the sensation that is taking over, but just lay there, and be a prisoner of my own fear entombed in a trembling body as a mere spectator of the horrendous stimuli that shrouds this night.
A smell of burnt hair overwhelms me, as a violent shake of the door woke me up just a few moments before. The air is uncomfortably calm and the walls give off a sound similar to a heart beat, a sickeningly deep heart beat reverberating in my ears.
The feeling of someone being at my door... waiting, hoping I let it in. Sounds can be faintly heard all around the house, something fell in the kitchen, and my mind rationalizes the dogs are to blame, but what happens when a sound comes from my very bathroom, adjacent to my room. I did not let anyone enter. There are no dogs there. What is he doing, is he dancing for me?
Shadows form in the corner of my eyes, and facing them is just a reminder that I am as a matter of fact going a little bit more derranged every day, as nothing ever seems to be there. From the sidelines, they watch with beady red eyes that glow form the faint light creeping into my room. The black figures that have followed me ever since I was a child.
And once I remember them, I don't feel frightened anymore... I feel like I am meeting up with an old friend, a protector if you will... He cares for me, he knows I had a rough day and wants to help...
I don't like referring to him as if he were an it, but truth be told I'm not sure what he is or where he came from... He's just here, in the darkest corner of my room. Watching.
Watching me with no eyes.
