“This has to do with my squad so it does have something to do with me! Don’t just push me away like this, Ichirou!”
"I'm sorry, but I just received a call for you. From heaven? I think they’re missing an angel."
The girl’s face turned red at the pick up line.
“S-Stop that!”
"You're not going to lose me."
Clinging to the other tightly. she hid her face in this jacket. She knew he said she wasn’t going to lose her but there was still that terrible fear that if she let go, he might disappear soon enough.
“T-Thank you...”
but also “You should have told me sooner.”
“It wasn’t a big deal. All I would have done is distracted you all which could have gotten you all killed.”
Letting out a sigh, she sat up on the hospital bed. It actually was a pretty big deal and she had lost quite a bit of blood from the blow. Still, she didn’t want to worry him or any of the others so hiding it the best she could and taking herself to the hospital was her best bet.
“Don’t worry.”
“How long was I out?”
“I-Ichirou..!”
Rushing over, she practically threw herself on him, hugging him tightly.
“You were out for a few hours. God, I was so worried...”
“Don’t pretend that you cared about me.”
“P-Pretend? But I’m not pretending...”
Walking over to him, she grabbed his hands and held them tightly, giving them a reassuring squeeze.
“I promise that I have never once pretended to care. Everything has been genuine.”

The petite leader messed with the sundress a bit before knocking on the door. Hopefully, this would come to at least a little bit of a surprise to the birthday boy.
