Synopsis: Caroline and Klaus share lust at first sight at a bar one summer night but it ends the morning after. They meet again after Henrik is placed in Ms. Forbes' Acting 1 class (on AO3 HERE)
Caroline stands up and walks Ms. Jameson to the door, poking her head out to call in the next parent when she spots an attractive man.
After a second to process, she realizes it’s the guy she slept with in August.
Klaus McJudgyAss.
Sadly, he did not get less hot.
Why I love it: I’m a sucker for all human, fluffy, Klaroline fics filled with amazing wit and simmering chemistry, so this already ticks a few boxes. Caroline is wonderful as the sassy drama teacher who takes no prisoners and Klaus, equally, as the cocky artist slash guardian who is trying to pretend he doesn’t care but totally does.
Why you should read it: The characters are well developed, the banter is on point and the Klaroline chemistry is off the charts from the moment they meet in a bar to the subsequent parent/teacher interview and beyond. Throw in Henrik, Katherine, Shakespeare and a bake sale gone slightly awry and this is a fantastic read.
