#font editing

hello tumblr people who know how fonts work. i humbly request your assistance

i'm trying to italicise (as in, the slanty way) a preexisting offset font using fontforge, but it keeps giving me these same errors when i try to generate it:

i'm a total amateur to font design and fontforge, and i've tried everything that makes a moderate amount of sense to me, without any success. there seems to be nary a tutorial in sight.

i would really if appreciate anybody who could help me replied to this post so i can dm them and figure this out!

I’ve figured out how to do the font editing thing on my mobile app.

I didn’t know how to do it before.

After all he doom in gloom in my life lately I could use a bit of a morale boost...

Completing fonts

I’ve noticed that many free fonts I’ve downloaded have no accents... While that’s not a problem when I typeset in English (just for fun and to practice), it is when I do it in Spanish. I’m typesetting some mangas and editing them in pdf for a friend that doesn’t know an inch of English nor Japanese, just privately. And trying to “fujoshize” her on the way, jejeje.

So I guess that my new hobby in between cleaning pages is editing fonts to be complete... If only the “ñ” was added to each and every one of them...
