Today was a very stressful race. The course consisted of two climbs. Both short and semi steep. I was excited for both because i know i can shoot up any climb. Small or big. The group was 40ish deep? Tim Tsruda (Chica Sexy) and myself were attacking on and off the front for almost the whole race! Chica Sexy was for sure known on the course! Maybe a little over the halfway mark for the race I had just came off the front from pulling once we hit the first climb off the back side of the course. Three dudes had passed me on the left and i was on the inside recovering from the climb. Once i was positioned at the front of the group on the outside seven, SEVEN racers pull from the group and took off! I had seen them coming from the corner of my eye and just before i could jump two of the three racers that passed me decided to move infront and to the side of me. I was trapped! I yelled "come on lets work!" and "we can catch them!" multiple times. But never got a response... "15 seconds!" was their break distance from the group. Then "11 seconds! you're catching up!" Says someone on the sidelines on the first climb..."20 seconds!" At this point people gave up after the first climb. Then on the slight descent towards the start/finish climb riders were sitting up....SITTING UP! No wonder we couldn't catch the break. Thats where everything went to junk. Tommy Lucas (Bear Development) You are a little shit. I know you are strong and you can sprint,climb,and finish well. But the countless rookie moves you pulled during this race, and Mt. Hamilton are fucking disgusting. You didn't want to do any work. Save your legs for the finish. I get it but dude there was a break! what were you going to do sprint for 8th place?! Fucking pathetic! You could of worked moved to the back and saved energy five times and maybe we could've caught the break. "I dont have any teammates!" you said to me. That was the most childish shit ive every heard in a race. It doesnt matter if you have 100 teammates in a race if none of them are in a break then you should fucking take a turn and pull so work can be done. You call yourself a bike racer? You should just give it up now. Team work is the most important part when it comes to bike racing. You wasted your parents money and your own time coming out to todays race.. I understand the tactics when it comes to bike racing. I totally do! But when laziness is replaced it makes you a disrespected racer in my book. I know im no pro but i do know what to do in road,crit,or circuit events. If you cant put positive work in a race then dont even get out of bed. Sorry to end this on a sour note. But when my time, energy, and money that i work hard for is wasted because of rediclious teenagers are told by their shitty coaches that they need to do this to win.. Sorry again for unloading. If your a racer please just respect everyone. Yeah i know there can only be one winner. But team work with everyone always helps in the end. Wether its your own teammates or the whole field. This incident isnt going to slow me down. Just make me work that much harder for next week. Thanks again for all the support
