Where do you think Wolf Hall falls it was praised as being more "adult" then The Tudor was
I haven’t watched Wolf Hall tbh. I read Mantel’s trilogy, which unpopular opinion, I enjoyed overall. It satisfied a historical fiction craving(?) and felt more of what I wanted from Tudor historical fiction except I’d prefer a female perspective. Did they try to flesh out any of the characters outside of Cromwell’s perspective?
Anyways, I can’t say where I think Wolf Hall falls. But I think source material matters, even if the tv/film production decides to deviate for better or worse. And the premise of the production too, The Tudors was the look i'm sexy not boring period drama show that tried when Hirst wanted to or was pushed to.
