hot take and unpopular opinion but. while the “Hozier is possessed by a lesbian witch” jokes are all good fun, it kind of really rubs me the wrong way that everyone is brushing off a man who loves in a raw and poetic and healthy way by saying “oh he must be possessed by a lesbian he must be a lesbian haha” is just. super gross. we not only deserve but NEED more male role models for loving and caring in a gentle and beautiful way, and erasing Hozier’s identity and place in showing men, especially straight men, how to love in ways that only gay people have had a handle on for centuries is. not cool. yes Hozier gets how precious love is in a very similar way gays do, no that fact alone does not make him a lesbian!! allow men to love women in precious and beautiful ways without trying to bend the reality of their identity!!
