Things that legitimately confuse me:
When people don’t like a ship and think it’s “abusive” in that delightful ‘it’s not my ship and therefore it’s abusive’ kind of way, but then choose to read long-form multichapter fics about that pairing only to complain literally every. single. chapter about what they don’t like about the characters and the ship.
What. There’s an entire Ao3 out there.
#fandom wank#but I guess the author is supposed to be 'grateful'#for comments#they're being really gracious about it#but yikes#please get a better hobby#no it's not a pedophilic or 'pedophilic' ship#so don't even start#but honestly#the site is literally set up to filter by ship#if you don't like a ship ... you need never see it#you definitely don't need to read upwards of 100K of a fic over months#all the while bitching and moaning about how it doesn't fit your personal read#related: people who read a fic tagged with one ship#who keep campaigning to change the ship to their OTP#which is shitty to both the author and the people reading the fic with their preferences#in mind#tags exist for a reason
