I wonder how many Trump supporters, or even neutral parties, voted for Hillary, or at least lied about it, because someone they loved or admired told them they would never speak to them again if they didn't. They didn't betray you. You betrayed them, and made them betray themselves. "Implying Trump supporters didn't threaten the same thing to Hillary supporters." No, I'm certain they did. But I have yet to see an "unfollow me if you voted for Hillary" post. "That's because Hillary lost." Perhaps. But I guarantee there would still be posts asking Trump voters and non-voters to never speak to them again, even if she had won. Not as many posts, perhaps. But I'm sure they'd still be there. "By the sound of things, you must be a Trump supporter." No, I'm not. I didn't vote for Trump, nor do I support him. "So did you vote for Hillary? Why make this post, then?" I didn't vote for Hillary, either. I'm making this post because I'm a supporter of harmony and simple human decency. "You didn't vote for Hillary? Then you're a Trump supporter by default, and therefore part of the problem." No, just...no. I'm not. Neither is anyone else in my shoes. I don't care how many times you say it or how many people agree with you, that doesn't make it true. You're letting your emotions get the better of you. "Why didn't you vote for Hillary, if you're not a Trump supporter?" I didn't vote at all because I don't like either one of them. "You still should've voted for Hillary, if at least to make sure Trump didn't win." Unless South Carolina was evenly tied, my vote wouldn't have made a difference. Either way, Trump won by a landslide, so I doubt Hillary winning South Carolina would've made a difference. He won with 279 votes. South Carolina counted for 9. So he still would have won. It wouldn't have even hindered him. And the thing about voting for someone just so the other person doesn't win? I'm sure that's what a lot of Trump's voters were thinking. They didn't so much want him to be president as they just didn't want Hillary to be president. "They're still a bunch of bigots for voting for him, regardless of their reasons." The hypocrisy of this mindset is astonishing, and not just because the literal definition of the word "bigot" is "a person who is intolerant toward those holding different opinions." Seriously, that's the first result that comes up when you Google it. I also want to say that I didn't vote because I didn't want to get caught up in this mess. "If you didn't want to get caught up in this, then why are you even making this post?" I didn't want to say anything, believe me. The people who are saying they don't want to speak to people who didn't even vote at all scared me. I didn't want to lose anyone or be hated just because I wanted to remain neutral. So I tried to stay quiet. But I just can't. All I ever hear is, "unfollow/block me if you voted for Trump/voted third party/didn't vote at all." This is bullying behavior. You're shunning people who don't want to take sides. Some people didn't vote because their family believed in one person, while their friends believed in another. You're labelling them bigots and racists and other terrible things because they chose not to vote for someone they didn't agree with. You're shaming others because they won't conform to your beliefs, whether or not their own run counter to yours. You're making them feel afraid of someone they loved and admired and respected because you might hate them for not obeying you. You're threatening to cut ties and bonds that have been forged over the years because you want to assume the worst of people. If you're one of these people, who can so easily cast aside a friend or follower because they chose not to vote, and I'm following you, or you're following me, then...I'm sorry. I won't unfollow you of my own volition. But you're free to tell me how you feel and block me yourself, if you feel so strongly. I'm no stranger to being thrown by the wayside by people I've admired. I'm going to miss you. But before you do, I just want to say that, if you can so easily do this to someone YOU love and admire, then it's not Trump who makes me afraid for the future.
I want to smash it For you. For me. For history. I wanted you to grow up being able to be anything Anything. Astronaut. Doctor. President. Most importantly, Everything And happy. Safe. The chance for equal fights. I’m sorry, you. I have to try harder We have to try harder. You will see it You will smash it. Stand on her shoulders. Rise Grow Dream And work. Always work. We have to, like she did. Work and become Anything Everything And happy.
the Hillary tears had to become words for me to cope. I’m sorry, all future and little girls now. I’m sorry.
again, Hillary isn’t perfect..we all know this..there has never been a perfect president because people aren’t perfect and this isn’t so much just “wowee a women president!” (though it would be neat and if thats what it takes to get ur asses out there to vote then BY ALL MEANS)
Trump is gonna get thousands of people killed and idk but i would like to keep my friends and inspirations around for as long as possible :V and for everyone he doesn’t get killed, he’s gonna throw everyone further into financial distress until we don’t have money or the means to survive and die out from that, or from suicide rates skyrocketing. it’s a serious issue.
This is serious and it’s happening. Your vote means a lot. This is what happens when a rich white man has NOTHING TO BETTER TO DO WITH HIS TIME. Don’t be ugly and vote for Trump. Don’t vote third party either that’s not gonna help out a all at this point.
For the record, I voted.
i survived the 2016 presidential election and all i got was this lousy sticker
I voted today
