while kiara wasn’t exactly matching with her roommate and best friend, she felt oddly accomplished that she and john b had managed to pick out cohesive costumes. although when she was finally separated from his side, she felt like a fish out of water. pun intended. she immediately began to scan over the crowd, looking for a friendly face or some sort of distraction. that when her gaze landed on a face that caused her to do a double take, confusion washing over her when he actually decided to head in her direction after their gazes locked. her brows knit together as she stared at the other in disbelief, realizing her initial suspicion had been proven true. “ holy shit !! jj ? i almost didn’t recognize you for a second. ” she couldn’t stop herself from bursting out in laughter. “ you look ridiculous but i love it. i’m glad that you finally managed to get a date. ” she nodded down to the volleyball with him.
