@mystiicanatomy Abigail stalked into her apartment a few miles from her boyfriend’s work, where the large, blue man was already in the kitchen, following along a YouTube cooking tutorial for some fancy vegetarian dish he thought Abi would like. “Welcome home my love!” He called. She put one of the ragged duffel bags down next to the door. “Hey Hank…” she looked back over her shoulder to the small, red haired girl, struggling with her bags. “I brought a child I’m now responsible for.” Abi had never struck him as the maternal sort, and he thought this might be a sarcastic, deadpan joke until he saw the girl come through the door. “Oh my stars and garters how exciting.” He said. “I can help you with those, if you like.” He held out a hand to take her bag. “Who is she?” “A mutant girl. I’m taking her to space so dead people will leave her alone.” She replied. He looked for a hint of jest in Abigails tone but there was never any there. “Oh my.”

-he flipped from the buildings ledge. he landed in a crouch and raced across the rooftop. as soon as he got to the ledge he pushed off and soared. his feet landed in between the railing of the fire escape across the alley. he grabbed the railing and the thing shook from impact. he turned and jumped across falling a few feet. he grabbed the air conditioner unit attached to a wall and hung on tightly. he turned and pushed off once more. he fell the rest of the way and hit the dumpster. he ran from the alley and jumped sliding across the hood of the car. he went invisible and kept going-
