ezra calling cee a channelrat as if he's not the channeliest of channelrats is just his way of saying "you're like me and here's why"

“Frowning at those pages doesn’t make it easier to understand what’s written on them. You’ve been staring at it for quite a while now with the same expression.”
Lobster rolls
My personal preference: warm toasted buttery bun, loads of lobster with a little bit of mayo, cold.
GTFO with all of these “flavors” I keep seeing. It’s either little mayo only (coming from a mayo fiend) or butter and lemon only.

Lend Me Your Eyes; I Can Change What You See
The rain fell angrily down on the roof - they could hear it hammering in the tiles, and their gazes wandered towards the ceiling, as if they'd somehow be able to see through the plaster and watch the downpour.
"Some storm" Tex commented, going over to the window and looking out at the garden that was taking a beating from the rain. His eyes found the treehouse, and he felt a subtle sense of pride in knowing that neither wind nor rain could harm it - each plank of wood had been varnished to make it water proof, and the structure was securely fastened to the branches - it wasn't going anywhere. Without warning, he felt a presence beside him, but was not startled. Instead, he smiled and turned to her, tilting his head. "Scared?" he asked her teasingly, gesturing to the storm raging outside.
Rapunzel laughed lightly, shaking her head. "No. Storms don't worry me so much..."
"Oh?"
With a light smile, Texas left Rapunzel at the window before wandering back into the middle of the living room. Sawyer had gone out for the evening with one of the girls he'd planned a date with, leaving Tex alone in the house. It was one of his and Rapunzel's tutoring days, and she'd managed to make it inside before the wind and rain really picked up. Now here they were, two hours later, finished studying. She had no excuse to still be at his house, but neither of them even considered suggesting that she leave, which now left them in a predicament - what did they do for the remainder of her stay? She couldn't drive anywhere in the storm. But... what exactly would they do?
"So..." she began a little awkwardly, walking towards him with her arms crossed over her chest.
"... So..." he responded just as awkwardly, sitting himself down on the sofa and stretching luxuriously in his jumper before tilting his head to look at her again. "What do you wanna do?" he queried.
This made her think for quite a while, and eventually she shrugged. "I don't know" she admitted, sitting down on the opposite end of the sofa.
Staying quiet for a moment, Tex found himself lost in thought. Then his face lot up with a spark of intuition as an idea hit him, which soon eased into a shy look. "Want me to show you something?" he offered, standing up and holding out his hand rather hesitantly.
Frowning slightly in curiosity, she nodded and, after a moment, accepted his hand. He pulled her off of the sofa, and was about to let go of her hand, but she kept her fingers firmly wrapped around his palm, not saying a word but with a clear message nonetheless. A slight smile appeared on Tex's face, as he began to lead her out of the room, into one she'd never been in before.
The room was pretty simple - white walls, white ceiling, light wooden floor. One end of the room was filled with shelves and shelves of all kinds of books, fiction and otherwise, thick and thin, some balanced precariously on the arm of a large and squashy black armchair. Beside the bookcases was a large line desk with an office chair behind it, a stack of papers, a pot of pens and a laptop on it, as well as a music docking station. But the best thing in the room was in the large, spacious corner adjacent to the wall of books - a shiny black grand piano on a slightly raised platform.
This was Texas's absolute favourite room in the house, and was where he came to work, to play piano, to read and to generally relax when he needed to. It was perfect for him. With a smile at Rapunzel, he gave a shrug.
"This is my favourite place" he told her, his eyes as soft as hers usually were.
Rapunzel gazed around her in awe, utterly amazed by everything, especially the instrument.
"You play the piano?!" she exclaimed, realising that he really was full of surprises. He simply nodded, and, with an almost shy smile, he glanced down before glancing back at her, looking something close to embarassed.
"Wanna see?"
At this, she nodded her head enthusiastically, and followed him as he made his way towards the piano, sitting down on the small bench and giving her a look full of hesitance before resting his fingers lightly over the keys, taking a breath and beginning to play from memory, his fingers gliding over the keys with the grace, confidence and knowledge of a professional. Her breath stopped, and she leaned closer without realising, peering over his shoulder and staring at his hands. It wasn't like she's never seen a person play piano well before - after all, she played it herself - but this was so unexpected from him. She's always seen him as the guy with the facts and the maths, not so much the creativity. But now here he was, surprising her yet again with this seemingly endless stream of new tricks.
A few minutes passed, and once he'd finished, they both let out a breath.
"Wow..." Rapunzel commented, raising her eyebrows. "That was... wow." A sheepish grin spreading across his face, Texas watched his lap for a moment and then looked back up at her with a grateful glint in his eye. After a few seconds of smiling back at him, she gave his shoulder a light push to make him move up, before perching herself on the end of the bench, touching the keys lightly and then, after a gulp, she began to play too, a different one than he had, feeling herself get lost in the music as she usually did. As she finished, he stared for a while and blinked a couple of times. Then, with a great deal of uncertainty, his arm wound around her waist. Although he'd half expected her to push his arm away, he was almost completely unsurprised when she allowed it; what pleasantly surprised him, though, was the feeling of her leaning into him, and with a smile, he held her just a little tighter to his side, his free hand going to the keys again and beginning the chords of a certain song that he knew she knew. Without hesitation, she picked it up, taking the hand that wasn't being hugged to him and playing the notes - together they played most of the song, ending up laughing and stopping just over halfway through. Really, this rainy day wasn't so bad.
