For a long time now I’ve had this headcanon that Doc Ock is a transgender man, so when he noticed a homeless Doctor Strange on the sidewalk, he sensed Stephen was someone like him and wanted to help— though reluctant he was at first. Obviously this is different from what happened in canon, but because of my headcanons this flashback between Stephen and Otto (and the entire team up series) was extremely exciting for me and I wanted to show what I thought really went down.
