THE VOICES ARE BACK, of the machines on the network. they’re screaming; something is terribly wrong for them. it makes 16A’s finger’s twitch as she reaches up to pull on her hair. it helps ground her, reminder her that it’s ( not real ) only an echo of the remaining corruption in her data.
but 16A has wandered to a place she’s not very familiar with. not that it’s saying much; this area is where ANEMONE && THE RESISTANCE SHE COMMANDS resides. 16A wanders the coast on the other side of this continent, generally.
she thinks she’s found a village. maybe, just maybe, this is part of the android resistance--maybe she can resupply, use that to drown out the machine voices.
THEN SHE SEES A MACHINE WALKING TOWARDS HER. attacking is the last thing on her mind; all 16A can do is scream.
