'Yard Sard' is pretty funny, but my favourite Typo-On-A-Handwritten-Sign story is from Florida, where I once saw a boat in a guy's front yard with a sign on it that said 'For Seal'. To this day I regret not getting a photo.
Naturally, some internet friends and I tried to come up with a punchline for the story. Among the most memorable were:
"Does he have to show up in person, or can Heidi pick it up for him?"
"Maybe he wants to trade the boat for a seal. A pet seal would be awesome, especially if it can balance a ball on its nose!"
"Maybe he's a patriot and it's a reward for the guy who shot Bin Laden."
