I would kill for some sushi right now
Uuuuughhh Im gonna be sick
Mistaken Identity.
Since @azra-de-la-rosa likes to respond to full articles rather than something as horrid as an invite out to sushi, I decided to make one JUST for her. Particularly as I gave her a chance to explain in private and she blocked me~ I understand that she absolutely ‘does not’ fetishize gay men. At all. Which would be why she, for whatever reason, kept telling me that her roommate and his friend were ‘lovers’ (Erm. No? XD) and would religiously kick me out so that they could have that special little spark of a moment where they can be gay and she can, I guess, watch? But, since she went ahead and made things personal, let’s talk about why she moved here.
Most know already how she threatened to starve her roommate’s pets (because of a vendetta she had with someone with a Y chromosome.) She keeps saying I’m a ‘liar’, but it’s a little hard to lie when I’ve simply been using her screenshots to tell the story. The main reason I tried to convince her out of it was because her roommate saw what she was texting as she was texting it and worried for his dog’s safety and in the process of filing a police report. And. You know. It wasn’t the animals’ fault.
I was unfriended when I offered to feed the animals. I was blocked when I invited her out for sushi. That speaks volumes as to what the real issue was.
She also tried to weaponize ‘gayness’ to ‘scare off’ the straight roommate. She once insisted this same roommate was gay and that she had a good ‘gay-dar’, because adhering to harmful stereotypes is really something to boast about.
But the main issue is as follows: I have a passing resemblance to her old friend, Nebula. Most think it’s rather uncanny. I’ve had a couple of situations where they believe we are, in fact, the same person. Since Nebula definitely isn’t around anymore, I usually slowly ease people into the notion that they’ve made a mistake and, despite having known Neb quite well beforehand, have not seen her since 2012. (Hate to be the bearer of bad news and all. Also, not responsible for other people’s assumptions.) Neb, interestingly enough, tried to move here because the amount of ‘best friends forever’ who decided a few years should constitute forever, but who am I to judge?
I used to just let people think whatever their little hearts assumed for them, but confessed on social media quite a few times that I wasn’t Neb, to her before she moved here, after she moved here, and this all seemed to sail directly over her head. I never meant to catfish the bitch. She would constantly reference, ‘Remember when we were in high school together?’ Erm. No, but I know the stories?
That being said, I still wanted to be friends with her on FB, especially when visiting my Great Auntie up north. When she moved to Savannah, I honestly thought that it was to improve her life. The opportunities in an art career? Living in a city where you can go years without needing a car? The fact that it’s the ‘San Fransisco of the south’ and she was hopelessly closeted? The dating opportunities? The fact that it’s not fucking Ohio?
Well, therein lie the issue. I had wondered why she never bothered going out on a date. She would occasionally site laziness or just plain ageism, but at the same time, totally signaled to me that she’d be down for dating polyamorous people, that she’d try to buy me a $600 ring, and quite a few times where she’s blatantly call people who weren’t women women while calling herself gay—OHHHHH.
I still remember the conversations wherein things began to unravel. “Xanthe only dates younger women, lol.” “But… neither of them are women?” “Hahaha, but still.” “No…?”
Or the fact that she called her roommate’s (totally passionate gay lover, lol.) friend a ‘grade-A cunt that just mansplains everything’ before finding out that he was born with X chromosomes, then he was suddenly some sort of precious commodity. Or telling that same roommate (who identified as a white man) how much she hated white men. As if he didn’t c o u n t.
So, why did it surprise me so much that she was apparently telling her roommate all about, ‘Xanthe KNEW I liked them from high school!’? She also, during the argument about her starving pets, said I hadn’t changed since high school. Which is interesting, considering I never went. An entire move across country to date me would be almost flattering (read: creepy) if it were the fact that she were trying to actually date ME rather than Neb. I loathed being mistaken for that pile of dependency and self-hatred that was Nebula Aonai and I’m done pardoning it or softening her absence to people.
There’s a reason Nebula and I were never close.
Savannah was everything I’ve said it would be. But of course, if you want to condemn an entire city for the fact I wouldn’t date you, sorry.
There’s a lot more I could talk about. I’ve already rambled on. How she’s fucked herself entirely out of spite. How she’s fetishized and weaponized ‘gayness.’ How her mother tried (unsuccessfully) to try to deadname me on her behalf. Her blaaaatant misandry. And the fact that she had planned to neglect animals.
But I think her mistaken me for Nebula is what really pissed me off. Ah, well. Success is the greatest revenge, and it’s safe to say that she can’t really get me back from her grandparent’s house.
So I've got 226 in cash and need to take 80 out of my card hmmmmmm
i did it i watched rgd AGAIN and im gonna have weird dreams also i would do unspeakable things for some sushi rn and also also my cat almost licked my eyeball just now like my real actual eyeball
