Hurricane and Charlie Tour (minus the Hurricane): Day...not even sure any more. We'll call it 5. Munich, Germany. After the Inner Harbor, I reluctantly dropped the Hurricane off at the airport for her trip back to Cali. We seriously considered just going full Kerouac and driving cross country. And we would have (stay tuned for that adventure) but Oktoberfest! Quick load of laundry, check the mail, auf wiedersehen to mein teufel, and I'm off to the airport myself. Met up with professional drinkers (vineyard owner, beer distributors, bar manager) and off to Germany. No rest for the wicked. Immediately upon arrival, we linked up with Thomas, a vineyard owner in Mosel (which understandably confused me until I asked him to spell it) and had beer, schnitzel, beer, pork slab, beer, and a nice Riesling courtesy of Thomas at Flugewerk. Up waaaaay to early the next morning for opening ceremonies at Oktoberfest. But as you can see, very worth it. Who knew there were so many Red Sox fans in Munich? So good, so good, so good! #forboston #blackriflecoffee #leadslingerswhiskey #travelswithcharlie #unionjackpubwinchester (at The Oktoberfest - Munich Beer Festival)
