Your heart was pounding against your chest, breaths leaving your mouth in short bursts as you panted, back pressed against the broken down wall of the warehouse you ran into. You had to just stay out of sight-
Out of sight, out of mind. That’s how it went, right?
You just had to survive until whatever this was passed through and life could go back to normal. A life where these people weren’t hunting you down- Where you could just go back to waking up and working and annoying Mirai. A life where you could get drinks and food online- not run for your life with people hunting you down.
Goddamnit- Where were heroes when you needed one?
You were never made to do this much running, why did there have to be this much exercise in one afternoon? You whined under your breath, pressing yourself against the wall in an attempt to hide in the shadowed area. What god had it after you so badly to make you have to deal with this of all days?
“Darling, why are you running from me? You know that won’t end well for you once this little game of yours ends,” A voice called out. It was his voice- Why did it have to be him? How in the fuck did he find you so fast? Everything was a mess- hair was in your eyes, your clothes were nearly ripped and torn away from your body. Dull footsteps echoed through the warehouse as he stepped through, each step given caution as he clicked his tongue.
“You know you aren’t capable enough of escaping me, I am, quite literally, one step ahead of you in this little game. I know what you will attempt and how it will end–” He hummed, the words leaving his mouth with a deceiving lilt weaving through the words. He was right- You couldn’t outrun both of them without getting caught, but- Maybe you’d be able to distract one enough to get away. “ –Give yourself up, darling, and I may just go easy on your punishment for running away.”
That was a lie. You muttered under your breath, sliding your feet against the ground as you slinked through the shadows. There was no way in hell he would ever go easy when he got like this-
A thud sounded from above as you internally groaned. Maybe that was just an animal, it was hopeful thinking, but maybe it was just a little raccoon looking for dinner. Your back twitched as you felt your nerves light up. You couldn’t bring your wings out, not now, not ever until this thing ends. He would find you immediately if your wings came out.
“Little prince where did you go?~”
The voice hummed as the footsteps echoed, he was getting closer… You had to escape.
“Found you.” He growled in your ear, arms wrapping around your waist tightly as he cupped a hand over your mouth to silence the scream that threatened to break past your lips. Carmine feathers danced at the edge of your vision as the winged man dragged you out from the corner with a predatory grin. “I found him, no thanks to you.”
His golden irises flashed with arrogance and greed as a smirk tugged at the corner of his mouth, curling it up to a flashy grin. His grip tightened around your waist as you attempted to kick at his legs, anything to get away as your hands curled around his forearm. Muffled screams and words dulled against his hand as tears of aggravation pricked at the corners of your eyes.
“Ah, you found him. Good.” The other man hummed, fixing the cuff of his shirt as his cold eyes pierced you. “Now we can continue on with the experiment.”
“Gonna let me have a turn or keep being all territorial?” The blond man hummed, looking at his companion as he arched a brow. “Cause if you were unaware, hawks are very territorial of our things.” He grinned, his wings curling into your vision as he watched the other.
He raised a hand, palm facing towards the two of you as he hummed in return. “I can assure you, we both will have our fun. Whether that be when he is awake, or merely unconscious. Now, if you will do the honor, Hawks, we can resume.” Yellow eyes watched your movements as you struggled against the other man, trying to pry his gloved hand away from your mouth.
The blond man looked down at your struggling form, forcefully pressing you to the ground as he pinned your legs against the ashen ground. He smirked, grabbing your wrists as he drew them behind your back with ease as the rough surface of his gloves dug against your skin.
“Well, that was easy.”
He hummed, teasingly leaning forward as he ran a feather down your cheek. You growled, trying to turn your head to snap at the carmine feather as he drew it away.
“Ohoho, feisty.” He chuckled, looking up at the other, “Care to bring out his wings?”
Your eyes widened as you tugged at your arms. “No!-” You shouted, turning your head up to look at the green-haired man, eyes wide. “You can’t-!”
Mirai hummed, raising an eyebrow as he knelt down to your head before roughly grasping your jaw as he looked at you. “I can’t what, darling? You hold no power here, I can do whatever I like to this pathetic little body of yours and it will beg me for more.” He chuckled lowly, moving his grasp away as he stood aside, pressing the toe of his shoe into your ribs as he hummed quietly.
“Please- No-”
Your attempted plea reached deaf ears as the lithe man brought his shoe forward before digging the pointed heel of his shoe against the column of your spine. You gritted your teeth, tugging at your arms as Hawks tightened his grasp before tugging your shoulders down. “Wouldn’t want you to dislocate anything, little chick-” He hummed, an arrogant smirk held on his lips as Mirai pressed his shoe further against your back.
A cry left your lips as you felt the skin break at the breach of your wings pushing past the flesh and bone. Rivulets of blood began to roll down your back, staining the strained shirt you wore as the man continued to press between your shoulder blades. Tears began to form against your shirt as the feathered appendages broke through, ripping the shirt nearly in half at the strain as you panted.
“Ah, much better.”
Mirai let out a pleased hum, watching as your wings shook at the strain of your body before slowly moving his shoe from your back as Hawks snickered. The green-haired man arched a brow at the blond before leaning down as he pressed a thin, metal collar against your throat. “Now that should prevent you from keeping control of these items.”
You panted, pressing your forehead against the dirtied ground as you felt the cold seep into your neck before freezing in your movements.
“What- What is that?” You cautiously asked, trying to turn your head to look at the two men with widened eyes.
“This little collar will prevent you from hiding your little wings from us.” Mirai stated, walking back into your view as he clasped his hands behind his back. “Seeing as you have the horrific habit of running and hiding when things get interesting.”
“And not even with all your strength is that thing going to break from your pretty little neck.” Hawks purred in your ear with a growl, drawing his teeth against your earlobe. The avian could feel his feathers twitch in excitement as he gave a teasing squeeze to your hip. You swallowed thickly, struggling to squirm out of the man’s grip, this– this wasn’t Keigo. Not anymore…
Mirai hummed, watching the blond’s movement with intrigue, fixing his sleeves as he rolled the white shirt just beneath his elbow. Deft fingers folded the cuff once, twice, three times before pausing as he arched an eyebrow. A small flashing light in the far corner. How fun. A smirk ticked at the man’s lips as he walked towards the half-broken camera, examining the lens before ghosting the edge of his fingers down the wire as he hummed. This would definitely make things much more interesting in the long run. A little souvenir, perhaps. Yes, that would do quite nicely, especially to keep you in line when times get a little testy.
