        ❛  𝐈'𝐕𝐄 𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐃 𝐀 𝐆𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐓 𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐘 𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐒 𝐀𝐁𝐎𝐔𝐓 𝐘𝐎𝐔.  then again, seemed you were largely the 𝐕𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐀𝐈𝐍 in all of those.   ❜   the jedi master luke skywalker, by all accounts of the first order exceedingly powerful ; once influential but now inconsequential.  it’s a story she hasn’t yet pieced together – the narrative undoubtedly twisted to suit the needs of those that wielded the power.

❛    OUCH ! .  ❜               the exclamation presents itself in  FRUSTRATION ,  as feet have shuffled ungracefully backwards ,  &  elbows are muddied  by the damp earth that softens the  TUMBLE  ( and yet ,  still INSISTS on re - opening the healing graze  gifted last week        as if to check it still  HURTS ) .  alas , the girl would suffer a MILLION cuts ,  a thousand scrapes ,  if it meant completing the task luke has set before her .  rey ,  with admirable determination ,  has assured herself it MUST be entirely manageable .  but this SETBACK marks the third hour ,  & exhaustion clambers its way into her body , fatigue weighing heavily upon her head .           ❛    i should have done this an HOUR ago .   ❜   words carry a  SOMBRE current ,  gaze downcast ,  brow furrowing .

The Skywalker boy.

Chirrut had known the boy’s father, although not very well. Anakin had been a number of years younger than him, and he had already been a padawan when Qui Gon had brought him back. Therefore his knowledge of Anakin Skywalker had been largely second hand and primarily in the early days of a precocious child and not what he had become. After that, it had been word of mouth.

Until the day the Jedi were slaughtered.

That had been a dark day indeed, and he had been lucky to survive, being in the far reaches of the galaxy at the time, without any clones present. He’d had little choice but to go into hiding, and for some time his lightsaber had remained untouched.

But now perhaps...perhaps it was time once again. He was no Jedi master, but the simple knowledge of not being alone might be welcome.
