By the way - I'm gonna wind up posting this with whatever i write/post next

but i do wanna sincerely thank all the people that have left comments on my fics during 2023 while i was inactive as a whole.

i don't think i replied to a single comment in 2023 but i read all of them and there were a good few that when i got them really meant a lot to me and reminded me why i liked writing

some of 2023 was... busy, but my emotional state was also, in retrospect, deeply entrenched in letting go of a friendship with someone who had been one of my (2) best friends irl, who had been my longest standing friendship

i don't... generally give personal details on this blog, but i wanted to express at least part of the comfort that the community has been for me

which there's other comforts i've gotten from the fandom - but i wanted to call out the comments specifically

because in 2023 outside of my 4 friends who i talked to on discord (holla)... there were several weeks where i just Straight Up was not on tumblr or discord servers and the only online interaction i got was from my ao3 comment emails

Im going to respond to it in length but it actually genuinely reminded me of all the reasons I started Gotham falls and it had me start rereading the fic and it's been a while since I read this fic and enjoyed it rather than just seeing all the mistakes/etc and feeling bad about it
