Having finally found the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. American Corner library opened....
I was a bit disappointed. But Stephen King appeared. And the coins they displayed were NOT real.

This library in Denmark made a splash with their cool displays of books that had been violently murdered in various ways to promote their collection of crime fiction. Naturally, the books they used were from those they had deselected/weeded from their collections. So another good idea for re-purposing old books. Really great work!
[Translation by me, and not necessarily perfect.]
A new trend has developed in the teen section of the Leipzig Public Library. Brightly coloured paper notes with tidbits of news have collected on a bulletin board.

It started with a single note on a bulletin board in the teen section of the public library, and within a year it has grown into a large conglomeration. More and more visitors, always anonymously, reach for pen and paper to further add to the red fabric of the bulletin board. Now there stands a multicoloured paper-wall that the youth themselves have created.
Such an active communication exchange has occurred all on it's own. The small messages contain praise, critique, and suggestions for library materials. Even declarations of love can be discovered here on the library wall.
Excerpts:
"I ask myself honestly, who got the great idea to invent a library? Even the newest books are here! It's fantastic!"
"It's really great here. I've never gotten lost :-P"
"Pet Sematary (by Stephen King) was cool as an audiobook! ;-) And more "recent" Animes!"
"Awesome chairs!"
