So there's this man from Hungary named Daniel who rents one of the airbnb rooms where I work, and he's a long-term renter because he does construction work here in Birmingham. Anyway. He's super tall and says the funniest things without meaning to and has nice glasses and brings good desserts when he comes home and he's really cute in a geeky sort of way. Plus his voice and accent are very Dracula-esque. Nice.

Now, I never want to be that girl that assumes every guy is flirting with her (and to be fair, I have a really good sense of that kind of thing from how many creepy experiences I have had) but I swear he was doing sooooomething at dinner tonight. And last night, lol.

The tricky thing is not always knowing if it is just cultural difference when someone gets really close to you like in your face or staring at you a lot or if that's just universal for flirtation. For example, I was doing the dishes and everyone was still at the table except him and he came over to the sink and stood right up close behind me and sort of touched my waist?? So I moved and asked if he was waiting for the sink and he said no, haha, so I don't really know what he was doing there but I instantly felt my face go hot, hahaha. Why am I so weak?!?!?!

Or last night when he was saying how in Hungary there's a particular way to do a "cheers" that signifies respect and something like that so he was like "ok, Sarah, so you are my girlfriend, and we meet your parents and this is how we do the cheers the first time, because I want their respect" and I was like DAMN DANIEL if only...!! So he wrapped his arm around mine and we did a fake cheers thing, and I blushed.

Anyway!!!! I keep catching myself looking at his hands. They're nice. I think I'm laughing too much or too loudly at some things he says and it's quite embarassing, really.

Safe to say there have been some naughtier daydreams these last few days. 🙂
