Brazil and the Amazon
Okay, so y'all bear with me as I type this at almost 5am (I need to be awake early morning for 10am because I have to go to an event)
----
The tea with the Amazon and Brazil as a country in general is that this problem of environmental protection has been dragging for a long, long time. I know this because I represented the country of Brazil in a Model United Nations (or MUN) and we had to research our assigned countries to draft a resolution paper. I've read Brazil's problem with economic recession, environment, lack of nutritious food for the masses and all. The government has yet to do something for it. These articles was written on 2013, 2014, 2015 and I researched them last year. Because of my participation of the MUN, it jumpstart my interest with Brazil and Latin America and of course the Amazon. I always like to hear the local news about them. I even found Brazilian mutuals and fans of my art because my love for Brazil.
With the change of administration, it was predicted things would go worse because Bolsonaro wanted Brazil to become America so badly. I think people should know that the rise of populism is not exclusively in a country, like no single country can be the perfect example for it. It comes with the change of times and more and more people are electing, putting people who don't know anything on how to properly run a state, into positions. People are losing their voice and this is an awful global trend we must eradicate.
