Klaus knew he looked worse for wear since coming back from Vietnam. He was skinnier than before. No matter how many baths or showers he took, he still felt like the jungle was deep in his skin, making him filthy. He didn’t know if the feeling of suffocating would ever go away.
Allison probably didn’t even know what was going on.
He looked down to the bandages he had on his feet to cover the blisters from his boots. “Yeah, you’re probably right,” he said. He didn’t feel like moving. No matter how much he slept, he was still so very tired. He looked through the first aid kit for some disinfectant and bandages. He didn’t feel like eating at all. “I’m not very hungry, though.”
