CHECK ON OLD ALLIES
TRANSCRIPT + OTHER PAGES:
So, when I lost my book form, some of my favourite monsters (deprived of my leadership) lost their evil edge. Some of them even turned - I might be sick - goody-goody. I'm definitely unfriending them on 'unsocial' media. Even though the ones I've listed seem to be lost forever, I highly recommend checking up on old allies now and again, just in case they can be turned back to their former deliciously EVIL selves.
Lava Monsters
Hippies! My old Lava Monsters are now... hippies! How did they go so wrong? Since I stopped being an evil book, these Lava Monsters kinda lost their fire. I floated over to their new home in Burningham the other day and they'd set up a hippie camp! Living the peaceful life. They're making tie-dye shirts to sell so they can buy hippie things like friendship (BLECH!) bracelets and temporary tattoos. But every time they touch a shirt, they burn holes in it. HA HA, now that I like!
Sea Monsters
Behemoth of Brine
Somebody talked him into losing a few pounds. Behemoth diet! He lost so much girth he became more of a little rocky island! Sailors used to pass by and say, 'Hey that looks like a great spot for a picnic.' But now he needs to eat a ship or two. Anyway, smaller, less terrifying. I shall now call him: Island of Disappointment.
The Marquis de Seaweed
He got bored with the endless travel on pirate ships powered by electric eels, and set up a funfair on land. He built and assortment of attractions including: seawater slides, octopus arm-wrestling and bumper oysters. The Marquis sits in a booth with his pet piranha, Shredder, predicting kite-racing competition results. I shall now call him: Marquis de Landlubber.
Chef Savage
He retrained to be a hairdresser for the Forest Monsters. Now he trims the crowns of broadleaf trees, styles beards and moustaches for coniferous plants, and whips up crazy hairstyles for weeping willows. He would even win a hairdressing contest if his clumsy assitants Poop and Deck didn't mistake spray cream for hairspray. I shall now call him: Scaredy Scissorhands.
Forest Monsters
Baron Badwood
Kind of a sad time for Badwood since the change. He had a booming poison-apple business going. But when you sell poison apples, there really isn't repeat business. I mean, bite a poison apple, sleep for a few years, then wake up. So, the fact that he now makes cuckoo alarm clocks isn't such a big surprise: rise and shine, client base! I shall now call him: Baron Goodwood. (You are dead to me.)
Mushlord Marauder
OK, this mushroom-tossing marauder was one of my favourites (don't tell the others). But after he was freed from my pages, he started using antifungal creams. His skin cleared up, he became less angry, and now he works as a forest model. Need a nice mushroom in your magazine ad? Call his agent for your fashion show. I shall now call him: The 'Mush too nice' Model.
Bramblina
Oh boy, what to say? I always loved her whole 'I've got sharp thorns and bad berry Globlins' thing. What a sour personality! Now? Well, now she's opened her own happy, healthy, berry bar where she mixes up smoothies and veggie juice shots. Making people healthy! You can't get less monstrous than that! I shall now call her: Berry Disappointed!
Grimrocs
Despite all these lost souls, not everything's lost. You see, there was once a big battle in a place known as Rock Wood. I lured Merlok and his forces there and had a bunch of monsters waiting. But that magic man turned my monsters into petrified trees! What about the Forest Monsters? They prefer to spend time with less 'stiff' companions.
Here's the plan - I go back to Rock Wood and use my zapping powers to turn the petrified monsters into Grimrocs - BIG Rock Monsters! These guys will make monstrous additions to our army and 'petrify' everyone they meet!
THE GRIMROCS' FAVOURITE PASTIMES
LOOKING GRIM
BEING ROCKS
DRIVING MONSTER TRUCKS
MAKING ORIGAMI ANIMALS
DECORATING THEMSELVES WITH CANDYFLOSS
STOMPING
Some think Grimrocs are related to the other Forest Monsters in Knighton. Maybe they're right. But I'd say that connection is 'rocky'. HA! Get it? Because they're rocks! Sorry that joke was 'grim'. Get it? Because they're 'GRIMrocs'! I'm not just an evil mastermind, you know.
