Whether you loved it or hated it, you remember Little Bear. Maurice Sendak's Little Bear first aired in 1995 and was a Canadian show based on the children's books. In the US, it aired on the Nick Jr. block on Nickelodeon. It ran for 5 seasons, ending in 2000, as well as a movie released in 2001. Little Bear had many friends with whom he had adventures in the woods, including a human girl named Emily. The show was relaxing, with mellow music and themes, and episodes were split into three 7-minute segments, which was just perfect for holding a child's attention. Some of these segments were retellings of the stories from the books, while most were new tales. As a kid, I was a little old for the show, but as an adult who is way too old for the show, I love it.
