Natalie spots him the second she’s pushed into the hallway by the teeming mass of students that can’t seem to wait to leave the lecture hall. It’s hot and crowded and annoying, and she’s quite ready to retreat into the practice rooms by herself and never come out to deal with another human being again - except, of course, that has recently become impossible.
He looks out of place, somehow, standing there by himself. The people part around him, continuing on with their conversations, their classes, their lives. A smile, ironic and perhaps - perhaps - a touch fond, settles on her lips. It figures - the invisible girl finds herself in the company of an invisible boy.
“Hiya, tree boy,” Natalie doesn’t have to do much to sneak up on him, does have to reach up to slug him in the shoulder. “You look a bit lost there. Looking for someone?”
