this is my first post on Tumblr so forgive me for not having any idea how it works...

Stuck in reverse
He had been editing for hours, trying and trying again to get a specific bit right. It was three in the morning and Aleks was exhausted. He needed to sleep but he wanted to get the video uploaded or the nobs would be disappointed in him. He felt like he was either going in circles or just going backwards.
And the tears come streaming down your face
When you lose something you can’t replace
When you love someone, but it goes to waste
Could it be worse?
A beep from the phone told him that they had hung up. He stood there in the middle of the kitchen with questioning stares from the other creatures. Tears started to prick at his eyes and he dropped his mobile, sinking down after it to sob on the floor. They were dead. A car crash that killed them both. His parents were gone forever. This couldn’t get worse.

Eddie called Aleks’ name as he walked away from the house. It was snowing and he was only wearing a short sleeved top. A beam of light from the torch shone through the drifting flakes and Aleks stumbled back to the loving arms that were waiting to warm him up.
And high up above or down below

He didn’t want to go through the comments on his latest video, he knew that they would be full of hate. Sometimes he wished that he would kill himself, just so they could be happy, but he loved the nobs too much for that. Eddie came up behind him and wrapped one arm comfortingly around his waist while the other scrolled through the comments and pointed out the kind, loving and supportive ones.

Sighing, he agreed to come back. Eddie’s relieved voice crackled through the speakers as he thanked the Russian. After exchanging ‘I love you’s, he took one last look at the park and set off for the creature house again.

Eddie pounded on the door as Aleks lifted the blade to his wrist and prepared to cut. He hadn’t done this for a year and he felt the need more than ever, but the droplets of salty water flowing from his eyes prevented him from doing so. Hearing a confession of love through the door Aleks shoved the blade back into the box and got up to open the door.

As soon as the door opened slightly Eddie rushed in and scooped Aleks up in a loving embrace. The younger sobbed into his shirt as a stream of apologies and sweet nothings were whisper into his ear.

Curious, Aleks followed the path that was illuminated by hanging lanterns. Eddie had told him to meet him in the forest at dusk, and to take the path set out. Finally stepping out into a clearing, Aleks glanced around in awe. The trees had lanterns of too many colours to count hung from their branches and in the middle was Eddie. Said Puerto Rican was on one knee. He held up his hands to show Aleks a box. The Russian’s eyes opened wide in love and excitement as Eddie said four words that fused his broken heart together.
