In the universe where one might encounter this particular Astrotrain, the Great War had been going on for so long that energon supplies were running dangerously low. Many Cybertronians on both sides were forced to undergo the Micromaster downsizing procedure, and Astrotrain was no exception, giving up his locomotive form to do so.

Having three modes was something which Astrotrain had always felt elevated him above his peers; with only two, he developed quite the inferiority complex. This led him to begin experimenting with strange and unorthodox materials to upgrade his new, smaller body, in the hopes of unlocking a new transformation. Eventually, through a combination of Skeletron and Forestonite, he was able to grant himself a new double-barreled blaster mode—although the formula did have some side effects.

Since most Skywarps have teleportation abilities, how often do they get stuck in unspace?

Quite rarely—most iterations of Skywarp possess very low-grade transwarp drives, requiring nowhere near the amount of energy utilized by space bridges to instantaneously cross vast interstellar distances. Some more ambitious iterations of Skywarp have attempted to boost this power with fuel sources like forestonite and nucleon, and gained the power to instantaneously warp across entire solar systems.

beloved vector prime, youre surely aware of the decades-long debates surrounding frenzy and rumble in regards to which is red and which is blue, so i wont bore you with asking about such a controversial and multifaceted subject. i come bearing a lesser-known and only tangentially related, but no less pressing conundrum that only your wisdom can bring: is freezon red or blue?

As with her twin and rival, the Autobot Natron, Freezon wields the mysterious power of Nite-Glow, an energy source whose effects are poorly-understood by Cybertronian science. Thought to be related to Forestonite, Nite-Glow manipulates various forms of electromagnetic energy in often-unexpected ways; as applied by Freezon, it generates light from ambient heat, causing a rapid cooling effect on her surroundings when she wields its power. As a side effect of this distortion of light fields, her use of this power causes her appearance to shift from its natural red to an icy blue.

By contrast, Natron uses his own powers very differently; drawing upon surrounding magnetic fields, he can create a huge amount of kinetic energy to accelerate himself at high speeds. When Natron unleashes the power of Nite-Glow, his blue-striped chassis gives way to a blur of golden light—if not for Freezon's cold powers slowing him down, she would surely have no hope of escaping.
