I'm pretty sure that the average Disney fairytale film is not massively dedicated to historical accuracy. Based on the aesthetics they're probably somewhere between the 14th and 19th century but definitely in a kinda chronological washing machine way. Snow White has a flapper bob. Arthurian legends predate the Norman and possibly the Anglo-Saxon invasions but The Sword in the Stone has post-Norman aesthetics. I'm pretty sure that Richard I and John I were, in fact, not lions. They'll probably tell me it's 1159 and then give Princess Forest Woman a big poofy dress that could not be made at the time, because big poofy dresses sell merch. 🤷
oh my god
It’s a fucking New Year’s Eve miraclestery (miracle/mystery): my mother has discovered a physical, Japanese copy of Yugioh R volume 3 deep within the various kitchen drawers. No one knows where the fuck this came from. There’s two Japanese 2ndhand bookstore stickers on the back. It was sold for either 250 or 105 yen who knows. Cannot stress enough how little it makes sense for this to be in this house
