soft stan hours but i’m genuinely really proud of how far jeongguk has come — he came all the way to seoul from busan in hopes of fulfilling his dreams of becoming a singer, but he ended up being so much more..... a soulful vocalist who can also pull off sharp and clear moves that proudly labels him a dancer, a budding producer, an amazing photographer as well as an aspiring cameraman with incredible video-editing skills... and the list literally goes on because this boy probably has a thousand more tricks up his sleeve that he’s yet to discover or showcase to all of us.

yes, my baby was born talented and with a flair for so many things, but the one thing that makes me the most proud of him is his attitude; the way he constantly pushes himself to do better and better because he knows it’s never enough, he knows he still has more to offer and more to become. not only that, he isn’t afraid of trying new things and makes every effort to carry out everything he does to the best of his ability. remember that one vlive when he promised to learn and improve his english by the same day of the following year? look at where he is now - he still may not be the best at it but because he’s constantly been trying, we can all tell that he’s gotten so much better at it from the time he made his promise.

i’m extremely happy for him because this very trait of his has gotten him so far, and it’s evident by the way he shines through every stage and everything else he undertakes.

i hope the new year would pose as a brand new beginning — with new opportunities for him to improve and excel. jeongguk, you’ll always have my heart! i love you so much ♡
