Carmie&Andrea Version 2.0 

Andie and I wore matching dresses last March 12 for our persuasive speech.

I am starting to be a minimalist when it comes to my choice of clothes, shoes, and accessories. I am unsure if it's just me being overwhelmed with school or it's maturity kicking in. 

And this yellow dress btw is an addition to my wardrobe's "happy" section because the color screams happiness and vibrancy. 

On another note, college life just got crazier and this second semester is verging onto a close in a few days time. I can't wait for summer break!

Brighter side

It's the small things in life that can make a day beautiful. Even if when everything is not going your way or if you feel like the whole world is against you, it's your perception in life that can make a difference. 

Things could have been much worse than they already are. And if there is something holding you back to whatever it is that life has to offer, that would be you. It is your choice to feel half-empty as a new day turns into night. 

Always look at the bright side of things. Count your blessings and appreciate the little things. Forgive yourself and let go of the past. Never look down on yourself, because you are wonderful and beautiful just the way you are designed.

It's all in the mind set. Life will never be easy. It will throw you lemons every once in a while. So better yet, make some delicious lemonade for yourself. :)

And even when I thought a lot of things has already changed, some things still remain the same. I am just so blessed to have such amazing elementary friends who stayed through the years. Cheers to the ten years that has been and for more years to come! ♥

Clean slate

It's January 1, 2014! :D Are you as excited as I am for the great year ahead? I hope you had fun welcoming 2014. :)

I know there's really nothing different once the fireworks blast the midnight sky, but a clean slate is there. It's a new beginning for all of us, it's a chance to get things right, it's the time to rebuild ourselves and most especially it's when we can welcome change with open arms.

Little moments

My peg for the day was to channel my inner Barbie girl. Hence, the pink lips on my top and pink unicorns on my skirt. Oooh, pink unicorns. Haha. :)

And apart from my outfit, the highlight of my day was an unexpected mini reunion with my BFFs (with Tedd aka Sir Joaquin haha)! :)

I love you BFFs! :)

Black and white

You know how people say they see things in black and white when things are tough or not going their way? I'm kinda experiencing just that. I am seeing things in black and white. (And my outfit yesterday is black and white too. Okay? Okay.)

I want to quote a line from my favorite book as of the moment (Beginning of Everything by Robyn Schneider) because of some reasons. So here it goes:

I wondered what things became when you no longer needed them, and I wondered what the future would hold once we'd gotten past our personal tragedies and proven them ultimately survivable.
