Same, I can’t get my head around them being the same age when we’ve always thought of them as big brother/little brother. But since apparently they are the same age and couldn’t look more different then how exactly did they announce their births to the public? I’m thinking maybe Loki was kept hidden until an acceptable time for Frigga to get pregnant and give birth again?
I guess it’s because Thor was named Odin’s heir, we always assumed he must be older. Loki doesn’t really look any younger than Thor (and I think Hiddles is older than Hemsworth), but Loki sure acts like a younger sibling.
I always figured the big secret of Loki’s adoption wasn’t that big of a secret to Odin & Frigga’s inner circle. Odin would have brought baby Loki back to a war camp for a time before returning to Asgard with him, and then Frigga would have had maids and baby nurses and other assorted caregivers around her to help care for a newborn (and I tend to think baby Loki would have been watched like a hawk to make sure he was thriving well in Asgard, even with the helpful shapeshift). My guess is that Loki was tucked away, and Frigga went into seclusion until *surprise!* - a new baby! And if the new baby didn’t exactly look like a newborn to those allowed close enough to eyeball him after “the birth”, then everyone just politely knew to keep their peace (or else).
