Tsuna's life had become one of such chance and emotional turmoil despite their days of peace that it was truly a marvel that he hadn't cracked ages ago. As it was, the young man had shouldered an incredible load in the past few years (with increasingly louder complaint), until he could no longer stand it.
"I just can't do this anymore -- I'm done."
The reactions to this declaration were mixed, and the fallout was no less shocking. It seemed that everyone had their own opinions about how he was meant to live his life, but...I'm just one person. I never asked for this, and I don't want it. It's not really fair for them to expect me to change so easily. Tsuna still wanted to be together with his friends, and he did retain the dream of one day changing the mafia for the better. However, he was barely twenty, and he hadn't really gotten a chance to lie a normal life for a long while now. That was something he craved with every fiber of his being.
His dad, Timoteo, Reborn -- They were all surprisingly understanding. The disappointment directed at him from his friends and the others overwhelmed him, but knowing that his tutor and one of the men Tsuna admired most did not grudge him his choices made everything a little easier. Reborn had told him that if he wished to experience life as regular citizens did, he would have to apply himself to following all the normal steps. He agreed, and decided that the best place to begin was to find some other accommodations, and then look for a job.
Thus, his reason for hovering outside an apartment where the current resident had advertised for a roommate.
"I...just hope this one isn't...weird like the last two." He was feeling rather nervous about this third prospect as he knocked on the door and awaited an answer, wondering if maybe fate wasn't playing some sort of game to try to prevent him from deviating from its intended path.
