After his "death" on Svartalfheim, Loki had a lot of time to finally do what he'd wanted. His spell had sent Odin away and allowed him to take the throne, Thor and Jane were safely back on Earth, and finally he had all the time he needed to consider what had happened in the past and the confrontation with Thanos that he knew was coming.
Loki wasn't foolish enough to believe that he had even the slimmest chance of stopping Thanos on his own, but there weren't many people who he could approach about the issue. Thor was completely out of the question, as was everybody else in Asgard, and none of the other realms had any idea of who Thanos even was.
Well, there was one other possibility, and as luck would have it he knew just the person to speak to.
Loki left one of his illusions seated on the throne (still cloaked in Odin's appearance, of course), and not even a minute later he found himself standing in Stark Tower, in the same spot he'd had his first encounter with Tony. Still a little blinded from the bright lights of his entrance, he called out. ❛❛ Before you panic, you should know that I do not come here as an enemy. I wish only to speak with you. ❜❜
