but you know it’s not true ; rumours linger even when others take their place in the limelight ( the elephant in the room never forgets ) . with frustration , and a little bit more desperation than you’d like , you fish a cigarette and a lighter out from your bag ; and as you light it , you catch the eyeline of a familiar face looking back at you .

but it’s different for girls , especially when guys like kurt and ram are around . they’re incompetent idiots , there’s no doubts there , but they’re just popular enough that what they say matters . in a small town like westerberg rumors spread like wildfire , and with your brother on the football team you were bound to hear it eventually .
