Collinsdale's Curious Constructions, Pt. 3: Oasis
Head the opposite way, towards the Beechmont Avenue intersection, and you will come across a house with a distinctively large yard on your right side.
The reason for this large, unused space may not be readily apparent at first, but somewhere beneath the green grasses lies a former swimming pool. Possibly erected in the 1950s, the pool was filled in in the late 1990s.
However, there is one part of the pool which stands testament to the past:
That's right. The poolhouse still stands, though completely wrecked on the inside. Check out the vintage stove out front as well.
Hopefully this Tumblr will help the reader appreciate that even sterile environments like suburbs have pasts, presents, and futures. And those pasts deserve to be documented!
