Playing her old boss, well it had always been a risky thing, and even channeling the power that he had given her wasn’t going to make her unstoppable, especially if she wasn’t putting her guard up in the first place, so her going down.....it just made sense really, but Lucifer was waiting for that single thing, he wasn’t going to interfere until and unless she asked him to, he wouldn’t do that to her, even so when the call did come he was ready.
There was no warning, there was no shaking of the ground or tremors through the wind, he just was there, wings surrounding Catra as the lasers shot, not a single one piercing his wings before Lucifer shook his head, “I told you that you should have just walked up to him and said you were going. Now it’s time for cleanup it seems.”
After the lasers finally died Lucifer slowly stood, turned to the group, and with a smirk moved, each motion was so fast the eye could only catch a fragment of his movements, a wing to the face, a fist to the chest, a foot to the side of the face, and then ten seconds later nothing but a pile of unconscious bodies. Walking over to Catra he simply picked her up, and with a small hop, at least to anyone that was watching, suddenly they were in his penthouse, and he set her down on his bed. “Your stubbornness is adorable, but that doesn’t mean you should die for it. It’s not that cute.”
