As Alzheimers Awareness Month comes to a close, I reflect on my life and how my Granny impacted it. She always encouraged my writing and my art and even bought me my first 'How to Draw book.
The disease that is robbing us of her is very serious and that is why I dedicated this last month to her with a story a day and a picture a week. She loved to paint and read and write and Alzheimers has taken that from her.
Please, take a moment to enjoy the time you have with your loved ones. I'm making the most of the time I have left with her and I like to believe she'd be proud of what I did this month to try to call awareness to this terrible disease.
