It had been in the back of Kaiba’s mind, to track down the white-haired kid from school. Just a possibility... He knew the kid was the owner of the Millennium Ring, or at least he used to be. And right now, Kaiba needed information on those items. Honestly, he kind of felt like an idiot for not inquiring about them more, when they were all out-and-about in the world, and Kaiba knew how to contact most of the owners! He could’ve stolen borrowed them, ran so many tests! But no, he had to dig in his heels and believe they were nothing more than fancy pieces of jewelry with no special powers.
Well. That was coming back to bite him now, wasn’t it?
Anyway, the Millennium Ring seemed, to Kaiba, to be the one closest to the item he actually cared about. It didn’t take long for impatience to get the better of him. To hell with just waiting, hoping to run into Bakura on chance. He made some calls. Checked security cameras. Turns out he’s a bartender now-- how convenient! Kaiba didn’t think he’d ever step foot in a bar in his whole life, but hopefully the place wasn’t too skeevy. He’d arrive near closing time. Hopefully all the patrons there would be too drunk, and think seeing Seto Kaiba in their local bar was a hallucination. And hopefully no one tried to fight him.
He sat down at the bar, crossing his legs. “Bakura,” he greeted, to get the man’s attention. “Long time no see.”
