Forklift is headed to the Onion Creek Watershed! The Way of Water: Onion Creek kicks off this month by gathering neighborhood youth and Watershed Protection staff in Dove Springs–elevating the stories of the people who live and work in this neighborhood. 

Forklift will host small-scale intimate, innovative laboratory performances on Saturday, June 23rd and 24th and in September in Onion Creek Metropolitan Park. 

Collaborating with neighborhood youth, Forklift will produce performance vignettes alongside Bay Area guest artist José Ome Mazatl of @nakadancetheater, with music from @oriongarcia_, @djshani @beatsofburden and @djgl.music.

Forklift Danceworks company choreographer Krissie Marty works with landscaper Andrew Norton as he teaches her to use a backpack blower during an artist-in-residence program last week. The company will work with facilities staff to create and stage a dance program in the fall of 2019. -Ken Bennett
