If you're interested but having troubling coming up with something to present, or have a programming idea but need help fleshing it out, come to the Formal Programming section of the forums to talk about it with the organizers and your fellow attendees. There is even a helpful checklist to get your creative juices flowing!

Q&A: Is a proposal that is only partially HP ok? [Formal Programming]
Nicole, on our Facebook Page, asked: If a paper proposal is partially HP, is it still acceptable?
Ascendio: Absolutely! With closed canon and many Harry Potter fans enjoying and participating in other fandoms, we welcome and encourage those with multi-fandom or cross-fandom interests to propose programming. This might be a comparison of a character in Harry Potter to one in another series (ie: Hermione vs. Bella or Katniss), or a discussion of themes within another series (such as The Hunger Games, Supernatural, Merlin, etc.!) and how they are similar/different to HP. Or it could even be a proposal covering how Harry Potter FANS react to and participate in other fandoms, especially YA and sci-fi/fantasy fandoms. There are many possibilities!
Additionally, in the Informal Programming sphere, other fandoms are welcome -- we hope there will be Meet-Ups organized for fans of other series (books, TV, film), and we will certainly have guest authors at Ascendio who will be doing readings from and discussions of their books.
