So I might have lost my marbles
So my wife @flaming-rollsroyce-blaring-queen and I have welcomed a new trashcat into the world. And because of this, we've started to show each other Christmas movies we watched as kids. She has shown me the Rudolph the Red nose Reindeer movie she grew up with. This particular version has Whoopie Goldberg as a character known as Stormella and John Goodman plays Santa. The chemistry between the two characters is what I describe as, heavy hinting of a failed relationship and one trying to get back at the other. It is compounded when Stormella begins to sing about how much she hates ( and I mean Hates) Santa, even calling him a "Ho, Ho, Hoe." So I put forward this theory to an older version of this movie. Stormella and Santa, in their younger years and before he met Mrs. Clause, went out and were in a serious relationship. Then, they broke up, leaving Stormella heartbroken. Matters become worse when Santa gets married to someone else and continues to use her bridge across the crevasse. All her lines to a certain point read to me as a jealous ex wanting to hurt her former partner.
