My idea for Mafia version of the group is it goes something like this: Mesh is the guy who simultaneously does the legal paperwork and beats up people who threaten or harm members of the family. He does 90% of the work to make EVERYTHING function smoothly. All the buildings are built to code by him meticulously. He doesn't trust any contractors, even his computers are built from scratch by him.
Narinder is the public speaker because Mesh comes off as too intimidating to talk to in public and he's usually too busy to deal with people who want to talk shit. He has to make sure granny Tina is alright and that the next door neighbor hasn't started any drama. Also like in canon he gardens and sells some of that good shit, within reason of course. I mean hey, he doesn't just farm the food the mafia needs.
Forneus is dangerous not for any physical trauma, but because she's in charge of all the financial and political parts of the mafia. I mean she is a merchant in canon and it's implied she drags around that cart. I like to think that she does all the clean work for the Mafia when she needs to. She usually has an armored truck with her carrying goods and services she wishes to sell. The problem is that there's no gas in the truck in case any fool tries to think of stealing it.
That's because she can drag the entire truck around at her leisure. It's a show of power and also a silent warning that she won't kill you, she'll just hug you so hard you'll end up in the hospital.
