So that’s the context on why Jewish Janus is anti-Semitic, in regards to the lizard-people aspect. Lizard-people aside, I also must ask why people are so insistent on making him Jewish (btw I’m not mad at u Lav, I know that was a genuine question and I’m just trying to give my best response). A while ago, I saw someone say that Janus would make a perfect Jew because he’s like a Jewish mother. Which is.. not a great reason, to say the least. But I think the main reason (other than lizard people) that fanders make Janus Jewish is the (sadly it’s likely subconscious) bias that Jews are scheming and conniving, and so is Janus. Jews are stereotyped to be greedy and self-serving, which is similar to Janus’s character, as he is self-preservation. And a short elaboration on why I specifically meant the phrase “Janus would be a Jew lol”: The term “Jew” has a negative connotation at best when said by goyim. (I’m kind of quoting Bailey-writes here). I’m not getting too much into it, as it’s pretty self-explanatory, but Jew is what N*zis called Jews. Goy/goyim is not a slur or derogatory word for anyone who thinks it is. In short, I don’t think you can make Janus Jewish without some sort of anti-Semitic undertones, no matter how accurately the religion is portrayed. (Sorry this was long lol) -Forrest
