Here's a fun amp you don't see everyday: a 1962 "White" spotted at @folkwaymusic. . This is a really interesting piece of #Fender history right here. Yes, I said Fender! "White" was to Fender as Kalmazoo or Kel Kroyden was to to #Gibson - a budget brand produced alongside the regular product lines, and based on their designs but with cosmetic changes. Fender marketed a student amp and #lapsteel set under the White brand name, which was named for Forrest White who worked closely with #LeoFender, from the mid 50s to 1962. . The amp itself is basically a 5F2 tweed #FenderPrinceton but in a different cabinet with snazzy grey tolex, snazzy blue grill cloth, and a snazzy blue leather handle. And let's not forget the snazzy "higher fidelity" nameplate (see photo 4)! This one is all original other than a changed speaker (original speaker is included but needs a recone) . The only other one of these I have ever seen is in the collection of Fender historian @terry_foster, and if I hadn't just bought Terry's Harvard this one would have been very tempting! .
