      the hiss accompanied by sudden, wind - cutting blades of cyan shot forth from his body were accompanied with two steps returning. carved, slashed & ruined was the concrete, abandoned floor ( dressed crimson with the death of devils ), of the strikes exchanged and torn. ‘ they make it look so damn easy ! ‘ there’s a near irritation in his voice. he found the perfect emotion & state needed to be utterly whole under the effect of the devil trigger. yet, nonetheless, an entirely new form was at times difficult. focusing, earning. time toiled at extending it’s duration. at manipulating & heightening it’s strength. all in course, yes, though in particular —-.

      blades that pierced all, carved existence itself & rendered none standing. he’d seen them both use it, though it seemed to have come so naturally to him. utilizing them as projectiles, ushering forth an era of destruction that hushed any foe in sprays of their own viscera. though not at the level needed yet —- not as he had used them. not in how they followed & melded effortlessly into each swing, as they cursed & maimed anything in contact with them. quick glance given to his attire, torn ever - more by this. he really needed to learn sewing. ‘ let’s go another. almost got the hang of it. ‘

She’ll laugh even more when that time comes. Oh, politics, what a tedious thing. Azrael doesn’t miss it—the weight on her shoulders, the constant negotiations, walking the tightrope back and forth, never betraying a genuine emotion. At least the angels who deposed her are now likely experiencing the same crippling paranoia and debilitating mental strain. 

Lilith seems to revel in her power though. If there is tension, it doesn’t show on her face, not like it does on Azrael’s. She’s dangerous, as she was back then, and Azrael still finds it deeply unsettling.
